[ACTIVE] Due to extreme cold, all Saint Paul Parks and Recreation outdoor programming is cancelled through 3

Due to the forecasted extreme cold, all scheduled Parks and Recreation outdoor programming has been canceled through 3 p.m. on January 7. Como Park Ski Hill and all outdoor skating rinks and warming houses will also remain closed through 3 p.m. (or until the temperature and wind-chill combo rises above -25 degrees).

All indoor programming taking place on Tuesday, January 7 will go on as scheduled. Programming that is dependent upon Saint Paul Public Schools being in session will be cancelled. Participants with activities scheduled for Tuesday, are reminded to be mindful of the weather and dress appropriately, as temperatures are expected to be well below zero. All scheduled Parks and Recreation programming for today, January 6, continues to be cancelled, but Recreation Centers and Como Park Zoo & Conservatory will be open their scheduled facility hours with reduced staffing.

The Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Department will continue to monitor conditions and will reassess impacts to programming as new information becomes available. Additional communications and updates will be posted on the Parks and Recreation website at www.stpaul.gov/parks.
