How do I find my property line?
The most accurate way to find your property line is to hire a private surveyor. The Mapping and Records group in Technical Services has access to a variety of maps that will help you estimate the location of your property line. Please contact the Service Desk for more information at 651-266-6150, or read further on the Records webpage.

How do I find my property line?
The most accurate way to find your property line is to hire a private surveyor. The Mapping and Records group in Technical Services has access to a variety of maps that will help you estimate the location of your property line. Please contact the Service Desk for more information at 651-266-6150, or read further on the Records webpage.

Where can I see the original building plans of my house or business?
Technical Services does not keep building plans for structures in Saint Paul. The Department of Safety and Inspections (DSI) may have building plans for commercial structures stored in the archives; they may be contacted through the City of Saint Paul website or at 651-266-8989.
The Ramsey County Historical Society is another source of information. They are located in the Landmark Center at 75 West 5th Street in downtown Saint Paul, and the contact phone number is 651-222-0701.
The Minnesota Historical Society located at 345 West Kellogg Blvd. has a library that is open to the public, they can be contacted at 651-259-3000.

Where do I get a Birth Certificate, Death Certificate, or Marriage Certificate?
The Minnesota Department of Health keeps these records. Please visit their website for information on how to obtain a copy of a certificate or call the Office of the State Registrar at 651-201-5970.
