About Cherokee Park
Cherokee Park offers two open-air picnic shelters, one large and one small. The large shelter can accommodate approximately 100 people and is equipped with electricity. The small shelter can accommodate approximately 60 people. Barbecue grills are located throughout the park. A handicapped accessible restroom building is located between the shelters.
Both shelters are equipped with electricity is available, it is 110 volts, 220 volts not available in the park system. Multiple crock pots, coffee pots, roasters and other electric items may cause overloads on the power source.
Also available are 2 tennis courts on Baker & Cherokee, 1 restroom building, 1 tot lot, 1 backstop on Annapolis & Chippewa, 1 basketball court, 1 fire ring, 2 senic overlooks and barbecue grills which are located around the site,
Alcohol - The possession and consumption of non-intoxicating malt liquor (containing not more than 3.2% alcohol by weight) is permitted from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. within designated picnic areas. Glass beverage containers are not allowed.
