On December 14, 2011, the City Council adopted the City's 2012 budgets and tax levies. Formal action was also taken at this same time on the budget proposals for the HRA and Library Agency. 

Items 22-25 are the resolutions which adopted the budgets and levies. Council's consideration of the budget began in mid-August when the Mayor's budget proposal was received. A series of public hearings were held during the fall on the proposed budgets, tax levies, and customer charges.

Alexandra Iverson serves as the City Council's Chief Budget Analyst.  She is responsible for coordinating the Council's annual budget review process.  Before coming to Saint Paul, Alexandra worked as a Senior Financial Management Analyst for Hennepin County and as an Executive Budget Officer for Minnesota Management and Budget.  Alexandra has a master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs.
