Hotel / Motel License
Overview

A building or structure kept, used, maintained, advertised, or held out to the public to be a place where sleeping or rooming accommodations are furnished to the general public for a shorter period of time than one week, whether with or without meals, and which does not qualify for a Bed & Breakfast License under the provisions of Chapter 378 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code.

Inspections

This license requires inspection approvals from the Saint Paul Fire Department (Ph: (651) 266-8989), Environmental Health (Ph: (651) 266-8989), Licensing (Ph: (651) 266-8989), and Zoning (Ph: (651) 266-9008).


Fees

Fees are $345.00 for one to 50 rooms per site, per year. Each additional room is $11.00 per site, per year.


Expiration/Renewal

A Hotel / Motel License will expire one year from date of issuance and may be renewed annually.
