Fees
Overview
Checks should be payable to "City of Saint Paul". The fee is determined by the type and size of the project:
- Residential (1-2 units)
- Multi-Family Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Institutional
- $500.00 for sites less than 10,000 square feet, and $200.00 for each additional 10,000 square feet of land for all other uses*
*An additional fee of $260.00 for sites on steep slopes or in the river corridor or tree
preservation overlay districts. For any site plan for which a travel demand management plan is
required, there is an additional fee of $450.00
*In addition to the site plan review fee, there is a $300.00 fee for site plans that are reviewed
before the planning commission
* Fee is based on the area of the entire site for most new buildings and the area within the construction limits for most building additions.
Late Fees
If a site plan application is submitted for a development that has already been built or started without City of Saint Paul permits, a late fee will be assessed.
The late fee is double the filing fee or a maximum of $1,000.00.
