Light Rail Station Area Planning for Hamline, Victoria, and Western has begun, and we need your help! On the evenings of November 17 and 18, 2009, the public is invited to attend community roundtable conversations focused on each of the future light rail station areas. We welcome your thoughts and ideas about how areas around the proposed transit stops on University Avenue should grow and change.
Your input will build on the Central Corridor Development Strategy, a strategic vision and policy document adopted by the City in 2007. Roundtable results and comments will influence the draft Station Area Plans which provide guidance on detailed land use, zoning, urban design, and implementation strategies that will assist in creating the type of place you told us the corridor should become - a place with vibrant neighborhoods, stronger businesses, and more beautiful urban places.
