About Youth Soccer & Futsal

Saint Paul Parks and Recreation offers outdoor soccer in the fall and indoor soccer (futsal) in the spring for ages 4-14.

Soccer offered for FREE for ages 9 and up!

Eliminating these fees allows Saint Paul youth to have access to quality programming, encourages healthy and active lifestyles, builds confidence, and creates community. (Please note that fees apply for other ages but you can save by utilizing the Early Bird Discount and registering in the first 5 days of the month.)

Fall Soccer (outdoor) Registration

Registration for fall soccer runs June 1-30. Register online or over the phone at any recreation center

  • June 1 = 25% off
  • June 2 = 20% off
  • June 3-5 = 10% off

Spring Futsal (Indoor Soccer) Registration

Registration for spring futsal runs January 1-31. Register online or over the phone at any recreation centerPlease note, rec centers will be closed on January 1 for New Years Day, but online registration is available.

How to register

You may register for any service area or recreation center activity regardless of your home address. In-house sports registrations for age groups 8U and younger will be registered by service area:

  • Northeast Area - The Northeast / East Area is defined as East of I-35E and East of Highway 61
  • Northwest Area -The Northwest / West Area is defined as North of I-94 and West of I-35E
  • South Area - The South Area is defined as South of I-94 and West of Highway 61

Municipal sports for age groups 10U and older are still registered by individual recreation center. 

Register for Youth Athletics

Participants may register on the sports team which aligns with their gender identity. Participants who do not identify as male or female may register on the sports team of their choice.

Age Guidelines

  • Spring: The date used to determine the league in which any youth can play in is May 1 of the current year. For example, to play in 10U, a player must be 10 years or younger on or before May 1.
  • Fall: The date used to determine the league in which any youth can play in is October 11 of the current year. For example, to play in 10U, a player must be 10 years or younger on or before October 11.
