Improving the physical enviornment of 6th and 5th Streets between Rice Park and Mears Park is a priority initiative for the City of Saint Paul's Department of Economic Development (PED) in 2009 and beyond. PED has engaged the Saint Paul on the Mississippi Design Center to develop an urban design vision and strategy to achieve this end.
