What is the Blooming Saint Paul Advisory Panel?
The responsibilities of the advisory panel are to: review and evaluate existing ordinances, policies, procedures, and programs regarding the beautification of Saint Paul’s urban and neighborhood areas; research issues affecting the health and physical character of the urban environment; research issues of plantings in relation to residential and business properties; and advise and make recommendations to the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Commission and Director on such issues regarding the urban setting of Saint Paul.

Membership of 17 includes:

  • seven (7) citizens, one representing each of the seven wards.
  • one (1) member representing the district planning councils.
  • one (1) member representing private horticulture/gardening/landscaping businesses.
  • one (1) member from the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Commission.
  • one (1) staff member from the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Design Section.
  • one (1) staff member from the Public Works Design Section.
  • one (1) staff member from Planning and Economic Development.
  • one (1) staff member from the Riverfront Corporation.
  • one (1) staff member from the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory.
  • one (1) member representing Ramsey County Master Gardeners.
  • one (1) member representing the Saint Paul Garden Club.
