Risk Watch is a National Fire Protection Association program that addresses eight major injury risk areas for children. In 1998, Saint Paul was among the first communities to be distinguished as a Risk Watch™ Champion Community. 

This program focuses on preventing fire play among three to six year old children. Materials include a ten-unit curriculum suitable for use in any Preschool or Kindergarten classroom and a colorful still-motion video. The video is available in English, Hmong and Spanish translation.   

This program focuses on preventing juvenile arson among children ages 10 to 12. Materials include a presenter's guide, student workbooks and video, and a parent video.
