The total number of vacant buildings in the City continues to decline largely due to the sale of Catagory 2 buildings that are being brought up to code in compliance with City ordinances.  The latest total number of vacant buildings is 1607, down almost 400 from one year ago.  The average cost to bring a vacant building up to code is $30,000.
