The Federal Labor Standards Unit of the Contract Compliance Division monitors prevailing wage requirements on federally-funded construction projects. 

The Federal Labor Standards Unit services include:

  • Monitoring prevailing wages on federally-funded Saint Paul construction projects
  • Prevailing wage complaint processing and tracking
  • Davis-Bacon and Related Acts statutory interpretations and opinions
  • Contractor and union training on prevailing wage laws
  • Public Data Requests related to Federal Labor Standards

Prevailing Wages
Chapter 185 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, Section 82.07 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code and the Davis-Bacon Act give the City of Saint Paul authority to monitor contractors’ compliance with federal prevailing wage law on construction projects that are federally funded.
