The Senior Royalty Program is a tradition of over 50 years. The program is sponsored by Saint Paul Parks and Recreation and the Senior Royalty Alumni Association.
Each year at the Senior Royalty Coronation, three men and three women, age 55 and better, are selected to represent senior citizens, the City of Saint Paul and the Winter Carnival. The Royalty selected are volunteers that enjoy a vigorous year round schedule attending community festivals, parades and special events. In addition, the Royalty visits with many seniors at health care facilities and senior centers.
