What bike/walk events can I participate in?
Saint Paul Classic Bike Tour

The Classic Bike Tour is the largest annual regional bicycle event in the northern states. It is hosted by the Saint Paul Neighborhood Energy Connection and co-sponsored by the City of Saint Paul.

More than 7,000 riders of all ages enjoy 31 miles of mostly traffic-free cycling on the City's trails and scenic boulevards.

Organizers focus on using locally-produced, organic food and beverages. Music is amplified using a solar generator. Up to 98% of potential "waste" materials are recycled or composted.

Bike Walk Week

Bike Walk Week is an annual event that promotes and celebrates getting around by bike and by foot.  There are special events all week long at various locations throughout the metro area.  This year, Bike Walk Week will be June 5 -11, 2010.

Saint Paul Lowertown Criterium

Every year, the Minnesota Bike Festival includes several criterium races throughout the state in an exciting multi-day event. One of these is the Saint Paul Lowertown Criterium located right in downtown Saint Paul.

How can I get involved in bike/walk advocacy?
The City of Saint Paul is currently seeking applicants for a new committee of the Planning Commission called the Transportation Committee.  If you're interested in serving on this committee, please apply online by April 30, 2010.
