Police Seeking Information About Robbery of 90-year-old Woman
December 6, 2011
Saint Paul Police homicide/robbery investigators are asking for the public’s help as they work to identify the man responsible for robbing a 90-year-old woman in her home Friday evening.
Just after 6 PM on December 2nd a woman called police from her residence on the 1100 block of Van Buren and reported that a man had just entered her home through an unlocked door, pointed a gun at her, and demanded money.
The woman told police that she was cooperative and compliant, and gave the man a small amount of cash. The man reportedly then tied the woman’s hand and feet before he left the residence. The woman said she was able to free herself after several minutes, about the same time that a relative arrived at her home-she then called police. The woman was not harmed and is not injured.
The man wore a ski mask during the incident. He is described as 5’7” to 5’8” with a medium build and appeared “younger” to the victim. Investigators believe that the man may be from the neighborhood.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen something in the area, or who knows anything about this incident to call them at 651-266-5650, or 651-291-1111.
