Project Updates

Update Summary 6/17/2013

Expected Ayd Mill Road Closures

The project required two closures of Ayd Mill Road, thus far, to facilitate bridge removals. The decision to close Ayd Mill Road in the project area is never taken lightly, as the inconvenience to traveling public is significant. These closures are only made when the safety of motorists and/or the project workers require it.

The next anticipated closure of Ayd Mill Road will be to install the new bridge beams. The estimated date of this closure is mid August. The duration of this scheduled closure is estimated to be one day, but weather and unanticipated project delays could extend the duration to two or three days.

The remainder of construction work near Ayd Mill Road is scheduled to be accomplished with Ayd mill lane closures, rather than full closure of the road.  But, the Project Engineer will Close Ayd Mill when necessary to insure public safety.
