Temporary pedestrian centerline signs are signs that are placed along the centerline at marked or unmarked locations of high pedestrian crossing volumes.  The sign is used to remind road users of the Minnesota state law which requires the driver of a vehicle to stop for pedestrians.

The City of St. Paul Public Works Traffic and Lighting Division has developed a temporary pedestrian centerline program.  The program will run mid May through mid November, weather dependent. Forty signs will be available for placement subject to budget constraints.  Signs will be moved to different locations every 4 weeks.
