How it Works
  • The City of Saint Paul recruits youth from low-income households who are in 11th or 12th grade and have successfully held at least one job or have a strong teacher or counselor recommendation.
  • Employers identify paid summer internship opportunities.
  • We match youth with employers based on interests, skills, and needs.
  • We provide training and support for youth throughout the summer, including an orientation and weekly coaching sessions on basic computer and essential workplace skills.
  • Supervisors receive a useful skills assessment framework and help to resolve any workplace issues that arise.
