Any property owner or tenant affected by a current order issued in connection with the enforcement of a health, housing, building or fire code may request an appeal hearing before the Legislative Hearing Officer.  Click on the Legislative Hearing Fact Sheet for more information.

Download the Application for Appeal and return the filled-out form, along with a copy of all correspondence from the inspector, to:

The appeal must be filed within the deadline provided for in the order and there is a fee of $25 for most appeals.

If an assessment has been approved by the City Council, any person may appeal to the district court by filing a written notice with the city clerk stating the grounds upon which the appeal is taken.  This notice must be filed within twenty (20) days after the adoption of the assessment.  A notice must then be filed with the clerk of district court within 10 (ten) days after filing with the city clerk.
