Saint Paul’s strength is found in its residents who keep our neighborhoods strong, streets safe, and city vibrant with opportunity. As individuals, we achieve a lot to make a difference in our community, and as a group we create a force that makes Saint Paul the Most Livable City in America.
In every corner of Saint Paul, there are residents who demonstrate love for their community by helping out neighbors, children, schools and the city. Saint Paul VIP taps into that collective energy and links opportunities in our great city to those who want to step up and help out. From our libraries and recreation centers to parks and schools, volunteers can contribute their talents and expertise to help meet the needs of a growing and changing community.
Volunteer in your neighborhood
Saint Paul has a rich history of active and distinct neighborhoods that provide many opportunities for residents to get involved on the neighborhood level. With 17 district councils, there are many volunteers needs on the local level:
Help at neighborhood events, such as clean-ups, home tours, festivals, National Night Out, or the district council's annual meeting and board election.
Participate on committees that work on community issues such as economic development, housing or environment, or on making the district council more effective in providing outreach or in raising funds.
Organize a block club for your neighbors to get to know each other and prevent crime.
Help with office staffing and administration.
Run for election as a district council board member.
