Police Employee Receiving Threat:
Upon direct receipt of a bomb threat, the employee will note the following:
- How threat was received.
- Time.
- Location of threatened property.
- Exact location where bomb was placed.
- Time the bomb is supposed to detonate.
- Why was it placed at the location
- What kind of device -- description.
- Approximate age of caller.
- Sex of caller.
- Background noises (voices, music, traffic).
If someone other than a Ramsey County Emergency Communication Center (RCECC) operator receives the threat, the employee will immediately contact the RCECC and ask for a call to be entered.
Upon indirect receipt of a bomb threat, e.g., from complainant who has received the direct threat, procedures shall be as follows:
- Secure the name and address of complainant.
- The name of the person reporting the incident.
- The name and location of a responsible person to be contacted by officers upon their arrival.
