The Mixed Blood Theatre presents Safe at Home, an 18-character, 9-scene thriller using baseball to examine flawed U.S. immigration policies, racial politics, America's obsession with celebrity, and the collision of personal ethics with massive entertainment and media dollars.
Audience members will journey for 90 minutes in small groups through the Saint Paul Saints' stadium, encountering scenes in a locker room, press box, luxury suite, dugout and men's room. They will be voyeurs into the intimate conversations of umpires, managers, mascots, politicians, fans, vendors and players performed by a multi-national cast, all while venturing into stadium spaces rarely visited by the public.
This event will take place at the CHS Field in Saint Paul in partnership with the Saint Paul Saints from March 7-12.
*These performances are supported in part by the City of Saint Paul Cultural Sales Tax Revitalization (STAR) Program.
