Size: Eight members representing the cities of Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Fridley, Columbia Heights, Hilltop, Saint Anthony Village, Lauderdale and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. One member and one alternate are appointed to represent each member organization.
Saint Paul Residency: Residency within the Mississippi Water Management Organization’s area is required. Only the northwest corner of Saint Paul lies within the MWMO. Term: Three years

- Preserve and use natural water storage and retention systems, which will provide opportunities to reduce public expenditures to control excessive volume and rates of runoff
- Improve water quality
- Prevent flooding and erosion
- Promote groundwater replacement
- Protect and enhance wildlife habitat and water recreational facilities
