Alert Open Gym times now available

Reservations are now being accepted for open gym times at select recreation centers starting Monday, February 22, 2021. Reservations must be made in advance. Please review the re-opening guidelines and procedures below in order to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants and staff.

Re-opening procedures 

An advanced reservation is required for all participants. Participants will not be allowed to participate without a reservation. Each guest must register on their own. One person cannot sign up a group of people. If a group of friends want to play together, each guest must register for the time slot in their own account.  

Offered days and times vary by location. Age range for open gym is 13-17 years old. Max attendance per session varies by site and size of the gym, with sites ranging from a max of 10-14 participants.  

COVID-19 rules and safety procedures 

The following procedures will be in place according to MDH restrictions and guidelines. We ask that you take this time to review these rules.

COVID-19 Open Gym Rules 

  • Participants must make a reservation prior to arrival. 

  • Check in at front desk upon arrival for heath screening/temperature check. 

    • Please arrive at the designated start time you made your reservation.
    • Bring your Open Gym Membership for the check-in process. If you do not have one, site staff will create one for you. (Open Gym Memberships are free.)
  • Participants must sanitize hands before using the facilities. 

  • Bring a full water bottle as our drinking fountains are turned off.  

  • Bathrooms are available but showers and locker rooms are closed.  

  • Participants must wear masks at all times, even while exercising. 

  • An appropriate social distance for these spaces is 6 feet.

  • Recreation center staff will provide basketballs but participants may bring their own.
