Shaina joined the Right Track team in January 2019 as the Program Supervisor. With over twenty years of experience working with youth, families, and communities she is excited to be combining her passion for youth work with economic development. Shaina has her Master’s Degree in Youth Development Leadership from the University of Minnesota. Over the years, Shaina has supported teams of youth workers, coordinated multiple state grants, and managed the day to day operations of a small non-profit. In her free time, she loves to cook, travel, root for the MN Twins, and be outdoors.

Dan has been with Saint Paul Parks and Recreation for 22 years in the field as a Community Recreation Specialist at a number of recreation centers in all parts of the city.  He joined the Right Track team prior to the 2018 summer program as the YJ01 Program Coordinator.  Dan received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Metropolitan State University in 2017.  In addition to coaching his daughter in various sports, Dan volunteers as a youth baseball coach for a 14/15 yr. old Babe Ruth league and serves on their board of directors as the league president.

Sarah Jenkins is new to the Right Track program this summer. She graduated from the University of Minnesota spring of 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. For the past four years she has been working as a project manager for a web marketing firm based in the Twin Cities. She loves St. Paul and going to community events and festivals, and she especially loves the State Fair. She is enthusiastic to work with the Right Track program as well as building strong connection within her community.

After graduating from Como Park Sr. High in 2012, Dae Jaun initiated her career journey at The Rice Street Teen Zone. Here she gained transferable work skills such as creating a welcoming environment and leading others. After working various jobs, she decided to continue gaining useful job readiness skills by taking courses at Summit Academy OIC and HIRED. Through HIRED she obtained an internship with the City of Saint Paul Fire Department. Dae Jaun decided she wanted to work in the Public-Sector where she sought after the position that she currently holds as a Clerical Trainee with the Right Track Program. She quickly adjusted to the demands of the position, has demonstrated strong technology skills, and is a valuable asset to the team, particularly her ability to connect with the youth as an alumna of the program.

Rawnson is currently a junior at Central High School. He started in Right Track as a Youth Jobs 02 intern for the Right Track program. During his internship, he was able to learn and practice many workplace skills. Rawnson was also able to explore photo editing programs by designing event posters and schedules. He is now able to use these skills as part of the Right Track team where he continues to create promotional materials, most notably Right Track’s 2018 Impact Report. In his free time, Rawnson is a volunteer sex educator with Twin Cities Teen Council. He presents in classrooms, educates his peers, and advocates for sex education and reproductive rights.


Max ChuMax Chu

YJ1 Job Coach

 

Max is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota, where he earned a degree in Political Science and Communication Studies. This summer, he will be working as a YJ01 Job Coach. Max has a strong passion for working with youth, and he is looking forward to meeting all the amazing interns involved with Right Track. In his free time, Max loves staying active, reading, and cheering on the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

 


Gigi BisongGigi Bisong

YJ2 Job Coach

 

Gigi is a freelance corporate speaker and motivational speaker. Her partial speaking credits include Ecolab, US Bank, Wells Fargo, The National Youth Leadership Conference, Mankato State University and Atlanta’s Women’s Conference. She is a published best-selling co-author of "20 Beautiful Women," former contributor for "The Huffington Post”, and is a Youth and Women’s Empowerment facilitator and coach. This is her first summer as a Right Track job coach and she is looking forward to connecting deeper with the community. She enjoys long bike rides, dance classes, hot yoga and taking writing classes at the loft. 

 


Carlo FrancoCarlo Franco

YJ1 Job Coach

 

 

Carlo has worked with the City of Saint Paul since 2013, in various recreation centers, citywide as a community youth worker supporting quality recreation programming, and most recently spending the past two summers as a Right Track Job Coach. During the school year, you can catch him at Humboldt High School supporting school wide behavior management, positive school climate and student leadership initiatives. He also serves on many boards and committees throughout the West Side & Saint Paul, most notably he is the current President of the West Side Boosters Youth Athletic Organization (501c3) non-profit. Carlo earned his B.A. in Child Psychology and Leadership from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities in 2016.

JaLisa recently graduated from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a Bachelor’s in Sociology and a Minor in Public Health. This is her second summer working with Right Track and she’s excited to be a Job Coach once again. Working with and creating spaces for young people is something JaLisa is very passionate about. In her spare time, JaLisa enjoys Brunching, crocheting and hammocking at Bde Maka Ska with her friends!


Rachel KnudtsonRachel Knudtson

Rachel has been working with youth for over 7 years after receiving an education degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2012. She taught 6th-8th grade language arts in Perry, IA before moving to St. Paul in January  2018. Since then, you can catch her giving tours of the State Capitol and substitute teaching with St Paul Public Schools. This is her first summer as a Right Track YJ01 Job Coach. Rachel is thrilled to help the youth of St. Paul develop employment skills and experience while serving as a resource throughout the summer.

I have been working in the youth development field for over 20 years, with the last 12 of those coming in St. Paul.  My wife and I just recently welcomed our first child into the world back in April.  When we aren't busy taking care of the kid, I'm a huge fan of watching University of Michigan sports, Netflix and going on walks through the neighborhood.

I graduated from Roseville Area High School a few years ago and currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. I have been working with youth since I was fourteen, and I aspire to become a Mental Health practitioner focusing my practice among youth from underserved communities. My passion for community service and commitment on equity and youth development brought me to Right Track as a Job Coach. I am extremely excited to work with Right Trackers as I will be interacting directly with future leaders from City of Saint Paul. In my spare time, I facilitate youth groups within my community, Bhutanese and explore the outdoor.

Ali Slaughter is excited to be joining the Right Track team for her first summer as a YJ02 Job coach. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in May of 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and a Geography minor. Previous work at an educational summer camp and in her University's Career Services office, has fueled Ali's passion for youth and career development.

Melody is new to the Right Track program this summer. She graduated from St. Olaf College with a bachelor's in English and Religion in May 2019. She is excited to work with the Right Track program and learn about and build connections in the St. Paul community. In her free time, she enjoys running, swimming, and spending time with friends and family.
