Incinerator Permit

Overview

Incinerators are defined as gas-fired devices for the burning of refuse (only dual-staged burners over 400,000 BTUs are allowed by law). Incinerator permits for commercial properties must be obtained by a City of Saint Paul licensed contractor. The licensed contractor is responsible for complying with code requirements. If you have questions, contact the Mechanical Inspection Department at 651-266-9004 (7:30 am to 9:00 am, Monday - Friday), or email the DSI Message Center.

Code Requirements

See Chapter 33.04 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code for information about incinerator work.
