Description
The original cast iron water main in the project area was installed in 1929 and has experienced repeated main breaks over the years. To continue to ensure the reliability of our system, SPRWS will be replacing the existing 6" cast iron water main with 8" ductile iron pipe. The scope of the project is as follows:
- Replace approximately 600 feet of 6" cast iron water main with 8" ductile iron pipe
- Replace necessary valves and hydrants in the project area
- Excavate, repair, and restore street pavement, curb, and sidewalk as needed
Location
Hawthorne Avenue from the intersection of Arcade Street to the intersection of Mendota Street.
