The original cast iron water main within the project area was installed in 1907 and has experienced repeated main breaks over the years. To continue to ensure the reliability of our system, SPRWS regularly replaces aging infrastructure that may be susceptible to breaking with newer, more dependable infrastructure.
A contractor will structurally line the existing 6" cast iron water main with a cured-in-place liner to provide structural stability and prevent future main breaks.
Project Scope:
- Contractor to structurally line approximately 300 feet of 6" water main.
- SPRWS to excavate and restore street pavement, curb, and sidewalk as needed
