1. Swimming Lessons

   Swimming Lesson Registration

   In the land of 10,000 lakes, cost should never be a barrier to water safety skills. That's why summer youth swimming lessons will now be offered free of charge! Please note, youth lessons are open to Saint Paul residents only. 

   Please note: general registration for 2024 summer lessons is now full. As is the case with previous years, our staff, with the support of community partners, will be conducting targeted outreach to enroll youth who experience barriers to participation, especially related to water safety education and recreation.

5. Open Swim Hours

   Open Swim Hours

   Youth under the age of 12 must always be accompanied by an adult. A parent or guardian must check-in with an aquatics supervisor each time a youth ages 12-14 intends to stay at the facility without a parent or guardian.

6. Lap Swim Hours

   About Lap Swim

   • No pre-registration is necessary.
   • 50 meter, 8-lane lap pool (8 lanes available except when noted in the hours below).
   • Max of 4 people per lap lane, first come first serve.
   • Fee is $9 or included with all-access aquatics memberships.

7. Water Aerobics

   About Water Aerobics

   • No pre-registration is necessary.
   • Open to all ages. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
   • Class is most effective when a participant is able to stand with their head above water in the shallow end of the pool.
   • Fee is $9 or included with all-access aquatics memberships.

8. Tot Time Hours

   About Tot Time

   Tot Time is a time just for kids ages 6 and under and the adults that love them! This designated time for our youngest swimmers takes place on Saturdays from 9:30am - 11am. Only the children's activity pool will be open for Tot Time swimming. Cost is $5 per child and $5 for the accompanying adult.

11. Group Reservations

    Group Reservations

    Saint Paul Parks and Recreation will begin taking requests for group reservations at Como Regional Park Pool and Highland Park Aquatic Center on June 4, 2024. Please review the following guidelines for group reservations:

    • Advance group reservations will only be accepted if the requested reservation meets facility capacity projections for the requested date(s).
    • Reservations requests will only be accepted a maximum of one week in advance.
    • Payment must be made in full at the time of the reservation. Note: no refunds will be issued for unused reservations unless it is the result of a weather or facility related closure.  

    These updated policies are in response to record demand and usage of our aquatic facilities, balancing the equitable usage of public infrastructure, and ensuring that payment for services is collected.
