Improving City Coordination

City departments are challenging themselves to provide the highest quality public services in neighborhoods where they are needed the most. In most cases, that means doing things a little differently.Spotlight:Vacant Buildings – The recent increase in the number of mortgage foreclosures across the country is contributing to a record number of vacant properties in Saint Paul. Staff from the Department of Safety and Inspections is working with neighborhoods to identify vacant properties, assess the circumstances of the vacancy and determine a course of action. Follow up is coordinated with the City Council, City Attorney’s officeand the Department of Planning and Economic Development.
