Truck Parking Restrictions & Rules

Saint Paul on-street parking weight limit rules - vehicles over 26,000 pounds such as semi trucks, tractor trailers, charter buses prohibited from parking on any city street unless providing a service; vehicles between 10,001 and 25,999 such as box trucks, single-axle trucks, bucket/utility trucks pounds prohibited from parking on streets adjacent to any residential zoning district, parking unrestricted by Ordinance for vehicles under 10,000 pounds such as cars, SUVs, minivans

Fines & Education Period

  • July 31 - October 31, 2023 - Education period
    • Informational flyers will be left on vehicles with new on-street parking weight limit rules and fines
  • November 1, 2023 - Education period ends and parking fines are imposed
    • Parking fine of $40 for vehicles not in compliance with on-street parking weigh limit rules enforced
  • January 1, 2024 - Parking fine increases to $150
  • July 1, 2024 - Parking fine increases to $250
