This license is for any person who sells or offers for sale goods or wares at any point or place in the City of Saint Paul.A Peddler License is also required for individuals to sell on private property. This includes the sale of craft and art items. Applications for peddler license, involving private property, shall include a long term formal lease agreement (more than 30 days). Licensee must be 14 years of age or older (Amway, Fuller, etc. are exempt).

You must submit the following:

A Peddler License requires inspection approvals from Licensing (Ph: (651) 266-8989).

Fees for a Peddler License are $72.00 per person, per year. The fee for a duplicate badge is $6.00.

A Peddler License expires one year from date of issue and may be renewed annually.

Peddling is prohibited within the State Capitol complex buildings and grounds and the Saint Paul River Centre complex buildings, grounds and surrounding sidewalks. Peddling is also prohibited at any park or parkway, building or place under the jurisdiction of the director of parks and recreation unless by the permission of said director or by some person duly authorized by the director and subject to such rules and regulations as the director shall prescribe. Peddling is not prohibited if the activity takes place on land owned or leased by said person.
