Update: Watch the video profile of the renovated Raspberry Island
Improvements to Raspberry Island are complete.
Construction on the island included the construction of a public restroom as an addition to the Minnesota Boat Club as well as improvements on Raspberry Island. These improvements include:
- Stairs accessing Mississippi River
- Seating areas offering views of the river and bandstand
- Event lawn space
- Riverwalk path around island
- Native plantings
- Lighting
- New parking lot
The construction of the Raspberry Island Fountain was completed Fall 2010 with the final sculptural pieces (designed by Craig David) to be installed Spring 2011.
