City of Saint Paul Supplier Diversity Program

The City of Saint Paul, in partnership with Strong & Starlike Consulting and the Minnesota Minority Goods & Services Association, is developing a Citywide Supplier Diversity Program. In developing this program, the City seeks to meaningfully engage the local small business community and strengthen community relationships.

Supplier Diversity Program development is a Citywide effort. The City's Department of Human Rights & Equal Economic Opportunity is working closely with the departments of Public Works, Financial Services, Human Resources, and Technology & Communications to develop this program. The City will complete program review, City department engagements, and community engagements, by the end of 2021. Beginning in 2022, recommendations will be presented and piloted.

Business owners and community partners will have an opportunity to participate in the community engagement sessions. A calendar of events is available for viewing and signing up to attend. If you would like to receive email updates, please sign up via the links provided in each engagement description, below.

The Citywide Supplier Diversity Program builds on a number of efforts the City of Saint Paul already provides through various partnerships. The City provides a number of certification services, technical assistance resources, and business capacity building opportunities.
