City Clerk Overview

The City of Saint Paul's City Clerk’s Office is responsible for:

  • Managing the record-keeping functions for all City Council actions
  • Managing the administrative updating of the:
  • Overseeing the election contract with Ramsey County
  • Administering domestic partnership registrations
  • Acting as the responsible authority and compliance official for City data-practices requests
  • Assisting City staff and the general public in researching information regarding City Council actions.
  • Publishing:
    • Ordinances
    • City actions requiring notification

On behalf of the City of Saint Paul, the City Clerk's Office receives the filings of

  • Appeals
  • Claims
  • Petitions
  • Summons
