The original cast iron water main within the project area has experienced repeated main breaks over the years. To continue to ensure the reliability of our system, SPRWS regularly replaces aging infrastructure that may be susceptible to breaking with newer, more dependable infrastructure.
SPRWS will be replacing the existing 6" cast iron water main with 8" ductile iron pipe. A contractor will be hired to provide excavation and restoration of the roadway for the project.
- SPRWS to replace approximately 1,350 feet of 6" water main with new, 8" main
- SPRWS to replace valves and hydrants
