The number of Saint Paul residents over the age of 55 will double in the next 15 years. At our final Perspective Series event, Julia Wolfe, Saint Paul - Ramsey County Public Health planning specialist on healthy aging, will discuss demographics, issues affecting our aging population, the need to change the media narrative, and the county's process for developing a plan to manage the demographic shift.
The event will also feature a discussion with Lucy Thompson, principal city planner for the Department of Planning and Economic Development, and Kathy Kelso, chair of the Saint Paul Advisory Committee on Aging, about how Saint Paul's 2040 Comprehensive Plan will address the City's aging residents and workforce.
Frank Jossi, vice president of the Highland District Council, will discuss his participation in the University of Minnesota's study on senior residents in Highland Park.
