6:10pm: Review August 2022 meeting minutes, approve this month’s agenda
Meeting minutes were not approved since CJAB cannot have a quorum when meeting virtually. Several months’ minutes will need to be approved at the October in-person meeting.
6:20pm: Invited Speaker - Nick Khaliq, Rondo Presentation
Mr. Khaliq presented on the history of the Rondo community, its vibrancy prior to the construction of I-94, and the impacts of construction of the highway on the community and its residents. He answered several questions from CJAB members. Mr. Khaliq is affiliated with Reconnect Rondo. Today’s presentation was informational; CJAB is not yet taking any concrete action.
7:00pm: Breakout Discussion - facilitated by Kristen
Board members broke up into two breakout groups. Groups discussed what Saint Paul would like had I-94 not been put in. They also discussed reparations and generational stability.
