Highland Block Nurse Program

The Highland Block Nurse Program is looking for volunteers to help area citizens. The following opportunities are available:

  • Provide a ride to/from an appointment or help run errands
  • Grocery shop for home-bound residents
  • Friendly visits or regular check-in phone calls

Merrick Community Services offers opportunities to help neighborhood Seniors through their Senior Services. They are looking for volunteers to help with Meals on Wheels and Chore Services. Highland Friendship Club

Highland Friendship Club (HFC) is a Saint Paul based nonprofit for teens, 14 and older, and adults with disabilities. HFC creates opportunities to have fun, develop skills, foster friendships, and community connections. There is an incredible variety of programs to choose from at HFC - art, theater, fitness, karaoke, Glee Club, social groups, book club, storytelling, cooking, music, trivia, crafts, service opportunities, scouting and more. About 30 unique classes are offered every week throughout the day and early evening. Scholarships are available to eliminate any financial barriers to participating in HFC.
