The intersection of Como, Front and Dale, where the Como Park and North End neighborhoods meet, is a very busy and active node that is home to many businesses. Some businesses have been here “forever,” some became neighbors as part of the Port Authority Maxim Steel redevelopment, some have been here a while, some are brand new, and some are currently renovating space to move in. A hardware store, a gas station, a pizza shop, a couple day cares, landscaping, potter, auto repair, drywall, appliance sales, church, temple, coffee shops, real estate, title companies, macaroons, and the list goes on. Soon we will welcome a Taiko Drum Center, an entrepreneur incubator, a wood craft center, and who knows what else?
On November 17 from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at 900 N. Dale St., please join Saint Paul City Council President Amy Brendmoen in an informal conversation to learn directly from area business owners and representatives regarding who is located in this up-and-coming intersection, how we can build off each other’s enterprising, what support businesses expect or would like to request, and when/if we should meet again.
We will invite newly-elected councilmembers who can help bring the vision forward. But staff and officials will be there to listen and learn, more than talk!
Please let us know if you will be attending. Email Saint Paul City Council President Amy Brendmoen at ward5@stpaul.gov.
