Saint Paul Residents are Invited to Attend Events in July to Engage in the City’s Budget Process and to Attend 2019 Budget Address in August
SAINT PAUL - Today, Mayor Melvin Carter announced a series of seven "Our City, Our Budget" events at community businesses across Saint Paul. These events will feature games designed to give residents an understanding of the City’s budget process and the opportunity to help shape 2019 budget priorities.
“How we budget and spend our money is our clearest and most important opportunity to demonstrate what we value as a community,” said Mayor Carter. "I invite everyone to join the conversation and help shape the City's 2019 budget as we move forward together."
Hosted by the Mayor's Office and led by the Office of Financial Services, these events are free and open to the public. Event details are listed below:
- Friday, July 13 | 8-9:30 AM | Golden Thyme Coffee
- Sunday, July 15 | 12-1:30 PM | Burger Moe's
- Sunday, July 15 | 2:30-4:00 PM | Summit Brewing
- Thursday, July 19 | 4:30-6 PM | Lake Monster Brewing
- Thursday, July 26 | 4:30-6 PM | Spring Café (Como Park Pavilion)
- Saturday, July 28 | 1-2:30 PM | The Goat Coffeehouse
- Sunday, July 29 | 2-3:30 PM | Brunson’s Pub
The 2019 Budget Address will be held on Thursday, August 9 at 6:00 PM at Washington Technology Magnet Middle School.
