SAINT PAUL - Today, Mayor Melvin Carter announced a community review panel selection process for Financial Services, Planning and Economic Development and Public Works department director positions.

“Our review panels ensure a wide array of voices help shape who leads our departments as we work to build the future of our city,” said Mayor Carter.

About the Community Panel Selection Process
Three panels of up to 10 community members each will be formed, one to review each position. Each review panel will be comprised of community members, policy experts, and civic leaders.

Review panels will conduct an initial interview of candidates for each position. Once the community review panel completes the interview process, their feedback will be submitted to Mayor Carter who will conduct final interviews and selections, with the goal to appoint new directors this spring.

Interested community members can apply to serve on a panel now through January 31, 2020.
