Saint Paul police are investigating after a woman was found dead in Saint Paul’s North End neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
Officers were called to an apartment on the 400 block of Front Avenue at about
5:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found the deceased victim lying on the floor of her apartment suffering from a fatal wound.
Now homicide investigators are looking for the person or people who killed her.
Patrol officers have secured the scene so the department’s Forensic Services Unit can process it for evidence, and members of the Video Management Unit will scour the area of surveillance video.
As of Tuesday night, no arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call 651-266-5650.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to positively identify the victim and determine an exact cause of death. This information, along with any updates in the case, will be released on the police department’s Twitter page, @sppdmn.
This is the tenth homicide this year in Saint Paul.
