A half-dozen 911 calls led Saint Paul police to the scene of a deadly shooting Tuesday night on the city’s East Side.

Officers were called to a bar on the 1000 block of Hudson Road just after 8 p.m. That’s where they found two victims, a man and a women, each suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The officers rendered aid, called St. Paul Fire medics and secured the scene. Both victims were transported to Regions Hospital, where the man later died and the woman is currently listed in stable condition.

Members of the police department’s Homicide Unit are currently looking for possible witnesses. The Forensic Services Unit is collecting evidence from the scene, and Video Management Unit is looking for any surveillance video that could help investigators identify the person or people who pulled the trigger.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call 651-266-5650.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to positively identify the deceased and determine his exact cause of death. That information, along with any updates on the case, will be released on the police department’s Twitter page, @sppdmn.

This is the 7th homicide this year in Saint Paul.
