SAINT PAUL (July 25, 2018) – Saint Paul Public Works is temporarily closing Westbound Kellogg Boulevard from Washington Street to West 7th Street for necessary bridge rehabilitation work beginning Monday, July 30, 2018. Westbound Kellogg Boulevard is expected to be closed to vehicle traffic until September 30.

“Kellogg and West Seventh is a busy intersection for people getting in and out of Saint Paul,” said Public Works Director, Kathy Lantry. “We are asking visitors to plan ahead and allow a little extra time to get around posted detours and to find parking in Downtown Saint Paul.”

Eastbound Kellogg Boulevard and the Exchange Street tunnel will remain open to traffic. The Kellogg Parking Ramp will be closed for the duration of the bridge work project. All current Kellogg Ramp contract parkers have been notified of the closure and will be temporarily relocated to other parking spaces.

The bridge work includes the repair and replacement of four bridge expansion joints and a new concrete overlay on the existing bridge deck.

Saint Paul Public Works coordinated the timing of the bridge repair work with surrounding businesses, including the Xcel Energy Center and Saint Paul RiverCentre to keep project disruption as minimal as possible with scheduled events.
