Description
The City of Saint Paul is making sidewalk improvements in downtown this summer. Sidewalk improvements include:
- Replacement of existing concrete with new concrete
- Installation of ADA pedestrian ramps
- Repair and replacement of brick pavers
- Sidewalk grinding to level and even out surfaces
Locations
List of locations is not in order of repair or replacement work.
- 4th Street and St Peter intersection
- Sidewalks around Rice Park
- Sidewalks around Landmark Center
- Sidewalks around Mears Park
- Sidewalks along West 7th Street to the west of Kellogg Boulevard
Timeline
Summer 2025
Schedule for Downtown Sidewalk Improvements Work
- Sidewalk grinding work has started and is scheduled to be completed the week of June 23, 2025.
- Replacement of sidewalk panels is scheduled to start Monday, June 23.
- Pedestrian ramp replacement work at the southeast corner of Market Street and 4th Street is scheduled to start on Monday, June 23.
- Pedestrian ramp replacement at St Peter and 4th Street is scheduled to start the week of June 23, 2025.
- Brick paver repair and replacement work is scheduled to start the week of June 23, 2025.
All construction work is weather permitting and subject to change.
