Saint Paul Fire Department Special Operations team members represent a group of Firefighters that, in addition to their primary firefighting duties, train to mitigate challenging situations across technical and dangerous rescue environments. The Training Division facilitates initial and recertification training expectations for these team members.

SafetyNet
The Saint Paul Fire Department in conjunction with other local organizations in Ramsey County participate in SafetyNet, an advanced tracking system used for the search and rescue of individuals with cognitive disorders. Our Firefighters responded to a rescue featured on KSTP Television in Roseville using this technology with a successful outcome.
