Overview

This license is for any facility engaged in the practice of dog and cat grooming that is not a pet shop. Pet grooming includes bathing, fur clipping, and manicuring. Grooming at Veterinary Hospitals does not require a license.

    • Proof of current Secretary of State registration and Assumed Name Filing
    • Business Purchase Agreement (Only for Change of Ownership applications)
    • Property Lease / rental agreement or proof of ownership
    • Site/Floor Plan

Code Requirements

See Chapter 382 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code for information about pet grooming facilities.

Expiration & Renewal

A Pet Grooming Facility License will expire one year from date of issuance and may be renewed annually.

Inspections

This license requires inspection approvals from Saint Paul Fire Safety (651-266-8989), Environmental Health (651-266-8989), and Zoning (651-266-9008).
