THE MISSION STATEMENT
of the City of Saint Paul Labor and Management Committee is Labor and Management working in partnership to provide a safe and healthy environment for City employees and to preserve City resources through the implementation of safe work practices and procedures. (City Council Resolution 09-1065, 10/7/09)
THE VISION STATEMENT
of the City of Saint Paul Labor and Management Committee is
- To monitor a system of subcommittees through which activities and working conditions affecting the safety of City employees in the workplace can be reviewed and analyzed.
- To promote safety awareness and communicate specific safety and health related needs and improvements to the City, managers, supervisors, and employees.
THE 2010 GOALS
of the City of Saint Paul Labor and Management Committee are to:
- Create "Roll-Out Plan" for the safety committee project:
- Create confidential feedback tool
- Design, launch and refine the content of the City of Saint Paul Labor and Management Committee website
- Design & implement All-City introduction
- Mayoral introduction via an email to go out in January 2010
- Create and monitor the communication plan for the City of Saint Paul Labor and Management Committee
- Evaluate current and future use of AWAIR ( A Workplace and Injury Reduction program)
- Evaluate current and future use of OSHA 10 and OSHA 30
- Review worker comp stats for trends/problems
- Assure that safety committees exist and function in each City department.
